Each calendar year a topic or book of the Bible is discussed in a conversational setting.  This year we are studying Paul’s letter to the Philippians.  We meet twice a month at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Second Sundays is an adult educational experience that takes place following the worship service on the second Sunday of the month. This time is designed to bring in experts in various fields and help us answer the question “What does it look like for you to be a Christian?” Past presenters have included Joe Berger, NFL player; Ken Haggart, Superintendent of Fremont Schools; and Meredith Smilie, Director of Bethany Christian Services – Muskegon.

Women of all ages are welcome to join Coffee Break. This group meets weekly for Bible study and coffee fellowship; they most recently studied the book of Esther. Meetings are from September to April on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 at Second CRC.

Kids Hope is a mentorship program that works hand in hand with the local public schools and allows adults to spend an hour a week mentoring students, helping them with school work, and encouraging them.

Special Moments is an affinity group designed for senior-aged singles to spend time together and be active. Past events have included dinner and a group viewing of the Harvest Parade, trips to petting zoos, and afternoons on Fremont Lake.
